This month at Prime Academic Preschool Gotanda our students have been learning all about wheels and the many places we use them in the world. Today was the last Thursday of July and the perfect place to wrap up our study of all the different kinds of wheels in the world.

Throughout July the students have studied the different way wheels are used to move things and help us travel. We discussed how usually wheels are attached to some kind of engine or motor to help make them spin and move around.

Today’s activity was a whole different kind of wheel. The students were very excited to learn about all the ways that water wheels could be used. From making bread, moving elevators and even creating electricity the water wheel has been so important to people for a very long time.

It’s always fun to play with water. The students got to do their experiment in the classroom to see how the water wheel moved and even get a little bit wet while doing it!
