Every week at Prime Academic Preschool Gotanda we study a variety of different subjects. On Wednesday every week we learn about social studies and this month the subject is games!

We began the lesson by discussing all the different kinds of games and how they can be played. We discussed playing games outside, indoors, virtual and board games. We then went through the monthly vocabulary together as a class.

Today we learned about a game called ‘Candy Land’. Candy Land is a board game that you can use the dice to move a game piece around the board. The students created their own play piece gingerbread people to use as their game pieces.

The children then got to spend the rest of the lesson playing Candy Land together. Everyone loved rolling the dice and playing the game. It was a great way to spend a day before our upcoming break for Obon.
