In Science, we learned all about shoes and why we need them! We talked about how shoes protect our feet from injuries, germs, and sharp objects. They also help support our bodies when we walk or run and keep us safe and healthy every day!

After our discussion, we looked at pictures of different types of shoes and thought about what makes each one special. Some shoes are soft for running, some are strong for hiking, and others are made for keeping warm in the cold!

Then came the fun part! For our activity, we took off our shoes and walked on different items that were laid out on the floor. There were soft, bumpy, and even slightly pokey textures waiting for us to explore!

As we carefully stepped on each material, we could really feel the difference beneath our feet. Some surfaces made us laugh while others made us say “ouch!” just a little!

This activity helped us understand just how important shoes are for protecting our feet. We realized that without shoes, our feet would be much more sensitive to the ground!

Everyone had so much fun exploring, learning, and laughing together. Now we know shoes aren’t just for style, they’re for safety too!
