We went on a fun field trip to the local farm to plant vegetables! The weather was beautiful, and everyone was ready to work hard.
First, we walked safely to the farm in a line. Before starting, we made sure to clean our hands at the water tap so we were ready for the dirt!
Then, it was time to get to work! We put on our gardening gloves and used small shovels to dig holes in the rich soil. The students were very focused and strong.
After our holes were ready, our teachers showed us the small plants. We looked closely at the green leaves and learned about what vegetables need to grow big and healthy.
We were all so happy to hold our very own tomato and cucumber plants!
Once we had our plants, we carefully placed them into the small holes we dug in the dirt. Then, everyone gently covered the roots with soil to keep them safe, warm, and ready to grow tall.
Everyone did such a wonderful job planting today. We had so much fun getting out in the sun, getting our hands a little dirty, and working together as a team. We cannot wait to visit the farm again to water our plants and watch them grow!
Great work, everyone!
