The art activity for today was inspired by nature. As the students went out for park time they gathered some leaves.

Back at school, we examined the various and beautiful designs of different leaves.

Placing the leaves on gauze, each student worked to scrape over the leaves and press out any water that was inside.

We found that the water which was pressed out brought some of the chlorophyll pigment with it. The students were surprised to find “paintings” of their leaves on the gauze.
