本日のCraft timeは、なんだかMagical!

Magicalという単語には、魔法の。という意味の他に、不思議な。魅力的な。という意味もあります…

Why is it magical?

それは、先生の言う通りに形を作って貼り合わせていくと、あら不思議！

Unicornが出来てしまうのです！

みんなには、何を作るのかは知らされていません…

先ず最初に、白い画用紙が配られました…

You look like a chef!

💫Magical instruction 1: Make a big circle.

画用紙に、大きく円を描いて…

円の形を切っていきます…

“I made a white, big circle!”

💫Magical instruction 2: Make an oval which is smaller than the white circle.

次はピンクの画用紙でOvalの形を作りますが、先生は、”Smaller”と言いました。

先程の白い円より小さい楕円を作り始めるみんな。

別の何かと比べて、より小さいと言う時は、”smaller”って言うんだね！

💫Magical instruction 3: Make two small triangles.

今度は白い画用紙で、小さい２つの三角を作ります…

みんな、ちゃんと２つ三角を作っています！

💫Magical instruction 4: Make two triangles that are smaller than the white small triangles.

さっきの白い三角よりも、もっと小さい三角を二つ、ピンクの画用紙で作ります。

“Is this smaller? too small?”

先生に確認するみんな…。

💫Magical instruction 5: Make a big, but thin triangle, with your favorite color.

5番目は、好きな色で大きな三角を作りますが、先生は、”thin”と言いました。

細い三角、描けるかな？

What are we making…?

一体何を作っているんだろう…

まだ知らないみんなでしたが、

先生からの色んな指示に合わせて、色んな形を作っていくのが楽しかったようです。

大きさや色、間違えずに作れたね！

まだまだ💫Magical instructionsは続きます！

作り終わった全ての形を貼り合わせていきます…。

貼り付ける場所も、気をつけて、instructionsの通りにね！

“I know what this is!”

何となく形になってきました！

“Cow! Moo… Moo…”

確かに、Cowに似ているね！

But…What about the big, thin triangle?

ここで、遂に何を作っているのかを知らされたみんな。

We are making unicorns!

The big triangle is a horn, put it in the middle of those two white triangles.

好きな色で作った大きめの三角は、Unicornの角でした。

Unicornの角は一本です。

日本語では一角獣と呼ばれるUnicorn。

Uniは、一つの。単一の。と言う意味。それでUnicornなのですね！

顔を描いていきます…

角にも、可愛く模様を描きました！

完成したら、みんなでUnicornsに変身！🪄
