This month at PAP Gotanda we are beginning to learn about a very interesting subject – The world beneath us. Many people go about their day never considering all the things that lie on and beneath the ground. We will be learning about the animals, tunnels, pipes and everything else that is under the ground.

Today we started by just looking at the surface. We went outside as part of our art class and sketched interesting images of the things on the ground all around us.

Students drew things like tree roots, man hole covers and roads. They also were very interested in looking for bugs and other small animals that live on the ground around us.

The students really enjoyed the chance to go outside and explore while also doing some art. They really tried the best to sketch the things they could see around them.
