The first week of the new school year is always full of excitement, and this year was no different! Our young learners spent their mornings getting used to new routines, new friends, and new classrooms. Even though there were a few nervous faces at first, we quickly saw lots of smiles and happy voices as the week went on.

To celebrate the beginning of spring, the children made beautiful sunflower crafts using paper plates, tissues, and colorful construction paper. They loved tearing and gluing the pieces, and each sunflower turned out unique—just like them!

In the afternoon, we put on our hats and and walked to the Meguro River to see the cherry blossoms. The pink flowers were in full bloom, and the children were amazed by how many petals were falling like snow. We stopped to take photos and talked about the colors, shapes, and feelings of spring.

It was a wonderful start to the school year, full of creativity, nature, and new beginnings!
