In Elm class this week we are learning -ig and -it words. Everyone is doing a great job of reading and writing words with these sounds.

Many of the students have done an amazing job of building their reading skills to a higher level!

The words we learned this week are hit, big, fit, dig, kit, fig, sit, and jig. We have started reading our new book too, Tom Can Jig!

Everyone is very focused on writing neatly. The students are making sure to use the lines to help them write nicely. Many friends in class are great at making spaces between their words with their fingers.

Let’s keep learning new words each week and building our knowledge together!
