Last week, we explored how clouds get heavier and turn into rain through a hands-on science experiment.
First, we filled a clear jar with water to represent the air. Then we added a fluffy layer of shaving cream on top to act as our cloud.

Next, we slowly dropped blue-colored water on top of the shaving cream.
Just like in the sky, the cloud held the water droplets for a while – until it became too heavy!

We watched in excitement as the blue water began to fall through the shaving cream and into the jar below, just like rain falling from a cloud.
It was a fun way to see how precipitation happens when clouds can no longer hold all the moisture.

After the experiment, we wrote down what we observed and talked about what it meant.
Everyone shared their thoughts about how the cloud changed and when the “rain” started.

This experiment helped us understand weather in a way we could see with our own eyes.
Learning about science through activities like this makes everything more fun and memorable!

We can’t wait for the next time we turn our classroom into a science lab!
