Welcoming the New Year!

The children joyfully welcomed the New Year with a special day full of learning, culture, and hope. In the morning, we walked together to a local shrine to experience a traditional New Year visit.

The students learned how to show respect by walking calmly, bowing politely, and waiting their turn. Each child held a coin tightly, feeling excited and curious about what would happen next.

One by one, the children dropped their coins into the offering box and made a quiet wish for the year ahead. Some wished for good health, some for fun days with friends, and others for learning new English words. It was a wonderful moment to see them practicing both language and cultural understanding at the same time.

Back at school, the New Year celebration continued with a creative activity. The children wrote and drew their wishes for 2026 on paper balloons. They shared their ideas proudly, practicing simple English phrases like “I wish for…” and “I want to…”. The classroom was filled with bright colors, laughter, and positive energy.

This New Year activity helped the children connect tradition, creativity, and language learning in a meaningful way. It was a beautiful start to 2026, full of hope and big dreams.
