We had a very special and hands-on lesson all about keeping our teeth clean, healthy, and strong! The students had so much fun learning how to take care of their beautiful smiles.

We practiced our cleaning skills using a giant model of a mouth and some oversized tools. It was a wonderful way for the children to see exactly how our teeth work!

First, we started with brushing. Using a big green toothbrush, the students took turns scrubbing the giant teeth.

They learned how important it is to brush the front, the back, and the top of every single tooth to keep the yucky germs away!

Next, we learned about flossing! Sometimes, food gets stuck in the tight spaces where our toothbrushes simply cannot reach.

We used a purple string to act as “floss.” The students worked hard to carefully pull out the little black spots hiding between the teeth on the model.

During our fun lesson, we practiced some very important habits together. We learned how to hold a toothbrush correctly and how to brush all sides of our teeth gently but thoroughly. We also discovered how using string helps to clean the tricky spaces in between our teeth.

It takes great hand-eye coordination to get the floss exactly in the right spot! Everyone did a wonderful job, showing so much care, focus, and patience.

We are so proud of our students for learning these healthy habits. We hope everyone keeps practicing their fantastic brushing and flossing skills at home, too!
