September has arrived, as well as our monthly evacuation drill. This morning, we practiced for the chance of there being a fire. The students evacuated quickly and in an orderly fashion.

In the afternoon, we all sat down and watched an informative movie together about having a plan in case there was an earthquake.

The students got to take a look at all of the equipment we keep in our earthquake kit, like water, non-perishable snacks, and a wind-up radio/flashlight. We also watched a video about what to do if our clothes catch on fire while we wear them. The students learned that they should Stop, Drop, and Roll!

Afterwards, we played a game where each student stopped in front of tunnels, crawled inside, and got rolled around by their classmates. They had a fun time moving all over the classroom.
