This month at Prime Academic Preschool in our K3 class our theme is painting. Each Wednesday this month we will be completing a piece of art using paint and paint brushes!

Today the focus of the class was on how to hold and use a paint brush. We practiced doing long, gentle strokes to make the colors smooth and bright. The children also learned how to dry the brushes to make sure the water colors didn’t run and smudge.

Today we painted a beautiful picture of a hot air balloon. We focused on separating the colors nicely to create clear lines between each section of the picture.

Overall the children had  a great time painting and created a wonderful work of art that they can be proud of. They will love showing it to all their moms and dads at our upcoming art show in September.
