The month of June is ending. This month we learned a lot about machines as part of our monthly theme. Today we had one last chance to think about machines. We had a very special lesson: up close in a museum.  We saw a machine developed 100 years ago for making and sealing cans.

We took a close look at common types of packages we use every day.

We played a few games about recycling and the different packaging materials: plastic, glass, paper, and metal.

We got a special museum can that is also a piggy bank.

We watched some videos about how things like bottles are made. Eveyone was excited to look around at the colorful displays and interesting objects. We had a lot of fun!
