At Prime Academic Preschool Gotanda we recognize that going outside and spending time out of the classroom is an important mental break for the kids and can help them feel refreshed for any activity that we are doing as a class.
Today during the afternoon K2 and K3 students went out of the classroom to try and sketch something from our surrounding area. We sat down in the park outside the school and identified some things that would make a great subject for a picture.
K3 students were tasked with trying to add some shadow to their art in order to create depth. The students tried their best and some of their artwork looked amazing!
K2 students were told to draw their favorite part of the park. They chose things they liked to use or look at. The kids sketched and colored the pictures to the best of their ability.
Overall this was a fun activity. It helped the kids get a break from the classroom whilst also encouraging them to pursue other forms of art than things we can do inside. Well done everybody!
