Every week at Prime Academic Preschool we study various subjects across different days of the week. On Wednesdays we always learn about social studies. For the past two weeks we have been learning all about Castles and Palaces. We have spent a lot of time learning about these buildings and this week we started to learn about who lived in them!

Today we began learning about a castle’s residents. We started learning all about knights! A knight was an important person in any castle. They were responsible for taking care of important jobs and helping to protect the castle.

An important way to know if someone was a knight was the special mark they had on their items or even a flag! Their coat of arms.

Today we had the chance to make our own coat of arms. It was a symbol of things that we like and are important to us. The children had so much fun learning all about the coat of arms and they really enjoyed making their own! They also had a great time decorating their castle.
