This May, we celebrated our birthday friends with a sweet and buzzing theme! The children watched fun and educational videos about honey bees and learned how these amazing insects work together to make honey.

Everyone was fascinated to see real honeycombs up close — some kids were surprised by their waxy texture and unique smell!

After learning about bees, it was time for a delicious treat. The children helped prepare pancake batter and watched closely as pancakes sizzled on the griddle.

When the golden pancakes were ready, we drizzled them with honey and enjoyed them together during snack time. Many of the kids smiled and said, “Yummy!” as they took their first bites.

It was a special day filled with learning, tasting, and celebration. Our birthday stars felt proud and happy, and everyone left with a little more appreciation for honey bees and the sweet work they do!
