In Prime Academic Preschool today, we did Art. We are exploring facial form this month.

First, let’s draw your head.
Next, let’s look at the shape of your eyes. Look in the mirror!

Children at this age often draw their eyes using round circles, but after looking in the mirror, the students noticed that their eyes were not simply circles.

Take a close look at your nose and mouth, too. How do they look?

Oh, I have so many eyelashes…

It was really interesting to look closely at each feature and realize how they actually look.

After we were done with the portraits, we cut them out, and glued them onto a sheet of colored paper that we painted a few weeks ago.
