It is nearly Valentine’s Day and the kids have been in a very loving mood lately. We also wanted them to understand that there are people who can use a little love right now.

Today, we told them about the earthquake that happened on New Year’s Day and how much people in the area were impacted by it. So, we made some heart shaped flowers with messages of wishing them well as they recover from the devastation.

In the afternoon, we also had a little birthday party for our February birthday students. We only had one, but they were still happy that they’re getting older. We also made Valentine’s Day cards, which they decorated in their own way, writing nice things to their mom or dad.

They really enjoyed making their cards and they can’t wait to give their cards on Valentine’s Day.
